Vijay to take oath as Tamil Nadu Chief Minister today, Rahul Gandhi to be present

A new history is going to be written today. South Indian superstar-turned-politician ‘Thalapathy’ Vijay is going to take oath as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu today. This grand oath-taking ceremony will be held at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai at 10 am today, Sunday (May 10). This will end the bipolar rule of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) in Tamil Nadu politics for the last five decades (50 years).
Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to attend the oath-taking ceremony of Thalapathy Vijay, the future Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. The visit of the Congress leader at the invitation of the newly elected Chief Minister Vijay and as a partner in the newly formed coalition government has created a lot of excitement in Indian politics. This is being seen as a strong message of Congress’s full support for Vijay’s new government. Thousands of people have thronged the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium to witness the ‘Thalapati’ of the silver screen now entering the Secretariat as a true ‘people’s leader’.
