Two die of dengue, 190 hospitalized

Two people have died of dengue in the last 24 hours and 190 dengue patients have been admitted to various hospitals in the country at the same time. This information was given in a press release regarding dengue sent from the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services on Thursday (July 9).
It said that of the patients admitted to hospitals with dengue in the last 24 hours, 71 are in Dhaka division, six in Mymensingh division, 34 in Chittagong division, 22 in Khulna division, 12 in Rajshahi division, 48 in Barisal division and two in Sylhet division.
A total of 7,068 dengue patients have been discharged from hospitals so far this year. Currently, 655 are undergoing treatment in hospitals. A total of 7,747 dengue patients have been infected as of July 8 this year. Two people have died of dengue in the last 24 hours. A total of 24 people have died of dengue this year.
From January 1 to December 31, 2025, a total of 1,02,861 people were infected with dengue and a total of 413 people died. From January 1 to December 31, 2024, a total of 1,01,214 people were infected with dengue and a total of 575 people died. From January 1 to December 31, 2023, a total of 1,705 people died of dengue, and a total of 3,21,179 people were hospitalized due to dengue.
