Thunderstorms with gusty winds expected in 4 regions at midnight

The Meteorological Department has said that there is a possibility of rain or thunderstorms with gusty winds up to 60 kilometers per hour in four regions of the country. This information has been given in the weather forecast for the country’s inland river ports till 1 am today, Wednesday (May 20).
It said that there is a possibility of temporary rain or thunderstorms with gusty winds of 45-60 kilometers per hour from the west or northwest in the Tangail, Mymensingh, Comilla and Sylhet regions. River ports in these areas have been instructed to display warning signal number 1.
Meanwhile, the weather forecast till 9 am on Thursday said that light to moderate rain or rain with gusty winds and thunder may occur in many places in Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and in one or two places in Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barisal and Chittagong divisions.
In addition, there is a possibility of moderate to heavy rain at some places in Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions. In addition, a mild heat wave is prevailing in Noakhali, Khulna, Bagerhat and Jessore districts and it may continue. Day and night temperatures may remain almost unchanged across the country.
