Youth commits suicide by cutting his hand in Mirzapur

A youth named Apu Mondal Shuvo (23) committed suicide by cutting his hand in Mirzapur, Tangail. Police recovered his body from Sohagpara Bazar in Mirzapur Upazila on Dhaka-Tangail Highway at around 2:30 am on Tuesday (May 19). Apu Mondal Shuvo is the son of Ukhil Chandra Mondal of Delduar Upazila. He lived with his family in Faruk Hossain’s Bhar house in Gorai area of ​​Mirzapur Upazila.
Police and family sources said that Apu left his house at around 1:30 am on Tuesday. At around 2:30 am, he cut his hand with a knife at Sohagpara Bazar in Mirzapur Upazila on Dhaka-Tangail Highway. He died due to excessive bleeding. On receiving the information, Mirzapur Police Station went to the spot and recovered the body.
Mirzapur Police Station OC Abdullah Al Mamun said that a youth named Apu Mondal committed suicide by cutting his hand. The body has been sent to Tangail Medical College Hospital for autopsy. The body will be handed over to the family after the autopsy.
