June 21, 2026: How much is a 22-carat gold bhori?

Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has reduced the price of gold in the country’s market twice in a row. In the latest bhori, the company reduced the price by Tk 2,216. In this, the price of a 22-carat gold bhori has been fixed at Tk 2,26,340.
BAJUS gave this information in a notification yesterday (June 20) morning. The new price came into effect from 10 am that day. Today, Sunday (June 21), gold will be sold at the fixed price. The notification said that the price of pure gold in the local market has decreased. As a result, the new price of gold has been fixed considering the overall situation.
According to the new price, the price of a 22-carat gold bhori (11.664 grams) including VAT in the country’s market will be Tk 2,26,340. Besides, the price of 21 carat gold per bhori has been fixed at Tk 2,16,192, the price of 18 carat gold per bhori has been fixed at Tk 1,85,691 and the price of gold per bhori in the conventional system has been fixed at Tk 1,51,690.
In this context, so far this year, the price of gold has been adjusted 78 times in the domestic market. Out of which the price has been increased 39 times, reduced 38 times and VAT has been adjusted 1 time.
