The price of gold has increased in the domestic market due to the increase in the price of acidic gold. On July 31, the price of this precious metal was increased by Tk 2,216 per bhori. As a result, the price of a 22-carat gold bhori stands at Tk 2,23,074.
Bajus said that the price of acidic gold (pure gold) has increased in the local market. As a result, the new price of gold has been determined considering the overall situation. This new price has come into effect from 10 am on Friday. Gold will be sold at this price today (August 4) as well.
According to this decision, the price of 22-carat gold per bhori (11.664 grams) including VAT in the domestic market is Tk 2,23,074. In addition, 21-carat bhori is being sold at Tk 2,13,043, 18-carat bhori is being sold at Tk 1,82,950 and traditional gold is being sold at Tk 1,49,474.
Bajus said that this price will remain effective in all jewelry stores until further notice. However, wages will be applicable according to the jewelry design. Since VAT is included in the selling price of gold and silver jewelry, VAT cannot be collected separately from customers. Where prices have been increased 47 times, reduced 49 times and VAT has been adjusted 1 time.
