July 30, 2026: How much is a 22-carat gold bar?

Gold prices have fallen again in the domestic market due to the decline in the price of acidic gold. The Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has reduced the price of a 22-carat gold bar by Tk 2,216. As a result, the price of a 22-carat gold bar including VAT has been fixed at Tk 2,20,857.
BAJUS gave this information in a notification on Tuesday (July 28) morning. The new price came into effect from 10 am on that day. Today, Thursday (July 30), gold will be sold at the fixed price.
BAJUS said that the price of acidic gold (pure gold) has decreased in the local market. As a result, the new price of gold including VAT has been fixed considering the overall situation.
According to the new price, the price of 22-carat gold per bar (11.664 grams) including VAT in the domestic market will be Tk 2,20,857. In addition, the price of 21 carat gold has been fixed at 2 lakh 10 thousand 943 taka, the price of 18 carat gold at 1 lakh 81 thousand 200 taka and the price of 21 carat gold at 1 lakh 48 thousand 16 taka.
The notification said that this price will be effective in all jewelry stores until further decision. However, wages will be applicable according to the jewelry design. Earlier, on the morning of July 27, Bajus last adjusted the price of gold. On that day, the organization increased the price of 22 carat gold by 2 thousand 216 taka per 100 taka including VAT and set the price of 22 carat gold at 2 lakh 23 thousand 74 taka.
So far this year, the price of gold has been adjusted 96 times in the country’s market. Where the price has been increased 47 times, reduced 48 times and VAT has been adjusted once.
