Fire in Chittagong Port’s New Auction House Under Control

After about an hour of effort, the fire brigade has brought the fire in the new auction house of Chittagong Port under control. Earlier, the auction house caught fire at around 8:20 am today, Thursday (June 25).
Upon receiving the information, the fire brigade, navy and 4 units of the fire brigade reached the spot and started working jointly to bring the fire under control.
The concerned said that although the fire was brought under control, it has not been possible to completely extinguish it yet. Various food items including rice and pulses were stored in the auction house. However, no official information has been received yet about the extent of the damage.
Initially, it is believed that the fire may have started from an electrical short circuit.
