College student dies while on a trip to Pirojpur

Md. Moin Sardar (20) drowned while on a trip to Atghar-Kuriana guava orchard in Pirojpur upazila. The accident occurred at around 5:30 pm on Saturday (July 18) in the Adamkathi-Katurkathi canal of the upazila. Moin Sardar is the son of Md. Monir Sardar of Guthia village in Ujirpur upazila of Barisal upazila.
According to eyewitnesses and friends of the deceased, Moin had gone to the guava orchard in Nesarabad with his friends yesterday. They had hired a trawler in the afternoon. He was sitting in the front of the moving trawler. While the trawler was crossing the Adamkathi canal, he suddenly lost his balance and fell into deep water. As soon as Moin fell into the water, his friends and locals stopped the trawler and started searching for him. After some efforts, he was rescued from the water and quickly taken to the Upazila Health Complex. The doctor on duty declared him dead after examination. Nesarabad Police Station OC Md. Mehedi Hasan confirmed the incident and said that the police immediately went to the hospital after receiving the information. Initially, it was learned that the young man died after accidentally falling into the water from a trawler while visiting a guava garden. After learning the details of the incident, necessary legal action has been taken.
