1 killed, at least 10 injured in Manikganj after losing control and falling into a ditch

A passenger bus lost control and fell into a ditch in Shivalay, Manikganj. At least 10 people were injured in the incident. The accident occurred at around 8 am today (July 19) in the Badalgail bus stand area on the Dhaka-Aricha highway.
The deceased has been identified as Delwar Hossain (50), son of Montaj Uddin Sikder of Mouhali village in Barotia union of Ghior upazila. Badalgail Highway Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Harun Or Rashid said that the Selfie Paribahan bus was going to Gabtoli in Dhaka from Paturia Ghat with passengers. When the front wheel of the bus burst in the Badalgail bus stand area, it lost control and fell into a ditch between two bridges.
He also said that a person named Delwar Hossain died on the spot. The seriously injured have been admitted to various local hospitals. However, the bus has not been recovered yet. In addition, the highway police said that a wrecker has been called.
