Woman stabbed to death by rival in Rajshahi

A woman named Farida Parveen (35) was stabbed to death by a rival in Rajshahi. She died at 8:30 pm on Friday (July 24). After the incident, an agitated mob burned down the house of Parash, the accused of the murder. Farida Parveen is the wife of Lalon Sheikh of Harian area of ​​Paba upazila.
Locals said that she had a dispute with Parash over Farida’s family land. A fight broke out between the two parties over this. At one point, Parash stabbed Farida in the neck with a knife. Farida lost consciousness due to excessive bleeding. When she was rescued and brought to the emergency department of Ramech Hospital, the doctor on duty declared Farida Parveen dead.
The body is in the morgue of Ramech Hospital. Parash fled after the incident. Parash is the son of a babu from Harian area. In this regard, Rajshahi City Police (RMP) spokesperson Deputy Police Commissioner (CTTC) Md. Gaziur Rahman said, “A woman named Farida has died. Police have gone to the scene. Details will be announced later.”
