Bodies of 3 members of the same family, including a child, recovered in Madaripur

The police have recovered the bodies of three members of the same family, including a child, from a relative’s house in Madaripur. The bodies were recovered from the Amirbad area of ​​the city on Sunday (May 17) night. The deceased are Chinmoy Das of Kalagchia area of ​​Madaripur Sadar upazila, his wife Isha Das and their eight-month-old child.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Madaripur Sadar Model Police Station Abul Kalam Azad said, “Mishti Baroi, wife of Italian expatriate Jatin Baroi of Satpar area of ​​Muksudpur upazila of Gopalganj, had been living in the house of Santana Rani Chanda, wife of the late Birendranath Dutta of Amirbad area of ​​the city for three years. Yesterday afternoon, three members of the family, including Chinmoy Das, came to the house as cousins. Receiving information at midnight, the police broke down the door of the house and recovered the bodies of three people, including a child. The OC also said, “Mishti Baroi was alone in the next room. The police went to the spot after receiving a call from Mishti. Whether it was a murder or suicide is under investigation. However, Mishti Baroi has initially been kept as a suspect.” The bodies have been recovered and sent to the 250-bed Madaripur District Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
