The country’s gold market has come to a standstill due to global tensions. The Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has increased the price of a 22-carat gold bar by Tk 2,216 in the latest one bar. In this, the price of a 22-carat gold bar has been fixed at Tk 2,50,193.
In a notification on Wednesday (April 15) morning, BAJUS said that this new price will be effective from 10 am on that day. Today, Sunday (April 19), gold will be sold in the country’s market at the same fixed price. The price of pure gold in the local market has increased. As a result, the new price of gold has been fixed considering the overall situation. In this regard, the price of gold has been adjusted 55 times in the country’s market so far this year.
According to the new price fixed by BAJUS, the price of a 22-carat gold bar (11.664 grams) in the country’s market will be Tk 2,50,193. Besides, the price of 21-carat gold has been fixed at Tk 238,820, the price of 18-carat gold at Tk 24,703 and the price of 166,737 according to the conventional method. Bajus last adjusted the price of gold in the country’s market on the morning of April 9. At that time, the company reduced the price of a 22-carat bhari by Tk 4,432 and fixed its price at Tk 247,977.
