Three more children die of measles symptoms in Sylhet

Three more children have died of measles symptoms in Sylhet in the last 24 hours. The divisional health department confirmed the matter on Monday morning.
The three children who died while undergoing treatment at Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital are Tasfia, Abdullah and Tanvir. All three are less than one and a half years old. As a result, the death toll in Sylhet division has increased to 103. Currently, a total of 265 patients are undergoing treatment with measles symptoms in various hospitals in Sylhet division. Although no new patients were identified in lab tests in the last 24 hours, 58 suspected patients were admitted to various hospitals during this period.
According to the health department, a total of 545 lab-confirmed measles patients were identified in the division from January 1 to July 20, 2026. Of the deceased children, 4 were confirmed to be confirmed measles patients. The rest are suspects.
