Tehran reviewing Washington’s message through Pakistan: Iranian Foreign Ministry

Tehran is now reviewing the message or response sent by the United States in response to Iran’s latest ceasefire proposal to end the ongoing conflict. This information was confirmed in a report by Iran’s state news agency ‘Noor News’ on Thursday (May 21). The report said that important messages are being exchanged between Washington and Tehran through the Pakistani government on the wording and conditions of the draft document of a possible ceasefire agreement.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghei said that several exchanges of messages have already been completed between the two countries based on the main 14 issues raised by Iran. Stating that the US position and response have reached Tehran, he added, “We have received the opinions and views of the US side and are currently reviewing them with great importance.”
It is worth noting that Islamabad is playing an important role as a mediator in keeping secret diplomacy or indirect talks between Washington and Tehran active to resolve the ongoing crisis in the Middle East and avoid conflict.
