Taslima, the main accused in the murder of expatriate Mukarram, has been arrested

The Mugara Police Station and CTTC unit of DMP have arrested Taslima Begum alias Hasna (31), the main accused in the sensational murder of Saudi expatriate Mukarram in Mugara. She was arrested from the Joynagar area of ​​Shibpur Police Station in Narsingdi on Tuesday (May 20) morning.
Harun Or Rashid, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DC) of DMP’s Motijheel Division, gave this information. According to the police, Saudi expatriate Mukarram Mia (38) returned to the country on May 13 and came to the Manda area of ​​Mugara to meet his girlfriend Taslima. When the two had a dispute over money transactions and a marriage proposal, she was given sleeping pills and killed in a premeditated manner.
Investigation revealed that Taslima, with the help of her sister Helena Begum and niece Halima Akhter, killed Mukarram with a sharp weapon and a hammer. Later, the body was cut into pieces and dumped at various places for hiding. On May 17, Mugda police recovered a dismembered body, without a head and left arm, wrapped in seven black polythene bags from a garbage dump under a building in Manda area. Later, the identity of the deceased was identified with the help of PBI.
Earlier, RAB arrested Helena Begum and her daughter Halima Akhter. Helena gave a confessional statement under Section 164 in the court and according to the information she showed, Mukarram’s severed head was recovered from Balur Math area of ​​Maniknagar. Police said they are investigating whether anyone else is involved in the murder. A murder case has been registered at Mugda police station in this incident and legal proceedings are underway against the arrested accused.
