Supporters of the candidate who was denied nomination lie down on the railway track demanding withdrawal

Leaders and activists of the Central Committee Joint Office Secretary of the candidate who was denied nomination Taiful Islam Tipu blocked the railway track in Lalpur demanding the withdrawal of the nomination of BNP candidate Farzana Sharmin Putul from Natore-1 (Lalpur-Bagatipara) constituency. They held this protest procession at around 5 pm today, Wednesday (November 5) in the Railgate area adjacent to Azimnagar Railway Station in Lalpur Upazila.
At that time, hundreds of leaders and activists and supporters protested by lying down on the railway track. They observed this program for about half an hour. The leaders and activists raised various slogans demanding the withdrawal of Putul’s candidacy. Earlier, thousands of leaders and activists took out a protest procession from the Upazila Women’s College.
The activists said that immediately after receiving the nomination, a worker of our Chhatra Dal was beaten up and left bleeding. We do not accept this nomination. Tipu Bhai is our worthy leader. He is the dedicated leader of this Lalpur-Bagatipara constituency. We want him to be nominated for this constituency on the paddy field.
Former senior joint convener of Gopalpur Municipality BNP Saiful Islam Rana, former general secretary of Upazila Jubo Dal Ohadur Rahman Sarkar, former joint convener of Upazila BNP Ariful Rahman Arif were present at the time.
