RAB arrests five people posing as buyers with 68 rounds of ammunition

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-10) arrested five people posing as buyers with 68 rounds of ammunition in a planned operation in South Keraniganj, Dhaka. RAB said that the operation was carried out at around 9:30 pm on Tuesday (April 28) in the South Pargendaria area of ​​South Keraniganj Police Station based on secret information.
The arrested are Md. Alamgir Hossain alias Salauddin (50), Md. Sajeeb (27), Asha Akhter Jharna (20), Md. Apu Bepari alias Qurban (24) and Md. Khokon (56). Four of them are residents of Khezurbagh area of ​​South Keraniganj and the other is a resident of Panchgaon area of ​​Tongibari upazila of Munshiganj district. Three mobile phones were also seized from them during the operation.
Assistant Director (Media) of RAB-10, ASP Anwar Hossain said that the seized bullets were from pistols and revolvers. They were brought for sale. The arrested people used to collect bullets from different places including India and sell them in the retail market. He further said that RAB members used to approach them posing as buyers. The price of 5 rounds of bullets was finalized at Tk 12,000. Later, five members of the group were arrested in a planned operation. Legal action is being taken against them.
