Prime Minister stresses on creating accurate database to ensure family card benefits

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has stressed on creating an accurate and acceptable database to effectively, transparently and accurately deliver family card benefits to the actual beneficiaries of the country. The directives were given at a meeting chaired by the Prime Minister on Monday (July 20) on the plan and implementation strategy for phased expansion of the family card program nationwide.
The meeting discussed the progress of the program and the outline of its nationwide expansion. In addition, the Prime Minister emphasized on adopting realistic plans for phased expansion of the family card program nationwide, best use of modern technology and ensuring effective coordination among all ministries and agencies concerned.
He directed the concerned to ensure maximum transparency and accountability at every stage of the data collection, verification and beneficiary selection process.
