Iran wants compromise, given one week for Khamenei’s funeral: Trump

US President Donald Trump has claimed that Iran now wants to reach a compromise with the United States. He also said that Tehran was given a week for the funeral and burial of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei after his assassination.
Trump made the remarks in a speech to mark the 250th anniversary of the United States’ independence. In his speech, he commented on US military power, global influence and various international issues. Trump claimed that the United States had defeated Venezuela in a very short time and had also launched a powerful military campaign against Iran. According to him, Iran is now very interested in compromise.
He also said that Iran was given a week for the funeral and burial of Ali Khamenei for humanitarian reasons. However, there was no immediate official response from Iran to Trump’s statement. Also, the veracity of his claim could not be independently verified.
