Prime Minister launches five-year Fifth Primary Education Development Program from July in Parliament

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman said that the government is going to launch a five-year Fifth Primary Education Development Program from July 1. At the same time, he also announced the initiative to provide ‘e-health cards’ to the people within the next six months. He made these comments during the question and answer session of the MPs in the Parliament session on Wednesday (April 15) morning.
The Prime Minister said that a project related to ‘e-health cards’ is awaiting approval. Through this project, medical services will be provided to the people of 5 districts (Khulna, Noakhali, Bogra, Sirajganj and Narsingdi) within 180 days through e-health cards. The Prime Minister said that in view of the instability in the Middle East, a specific plan will be taken to find alternative and new labor markets. She said that work is underway to open labor markets in Malaysia and Thailand.
The Prime Minister said that river management is an expensive task. Canals can be dug at a relatively low cost; the government is giving importance to this issue. In addition, the government has a national tourism master plan for some upazilas of Kuakata. A committee has been formed to effectively manage hi-tech or software parks and ICT centers and take effective initiatives to start PayPal operations in Bangladesh.
