Pakistan PM to visit Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Turkey

Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has intensified diplomatic efforts to advance a new round of talks between the United States and Iran. With this aim, he will visit Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Turkey this week, AP News reported. A statement from the Pakistani Foreign Ministry said that the main objective of the visit, which will last from today, April 15 to April 18, will be to strengthen bilateral relations and discuss regional peace and security.
The visit is taking place at a time when the first round of US-Iran talks recently held in Islamabad ended without any final agreement. Shahbaz Sharif is trying to organize a second round of talks before the temporary ceasefire ends on April 22.
It is known that during his visit to Saudi Arabia and Qatar, he will discuss ongoing cooperation with the top leaders of the two countries, the situation in the Middle East and ways to establish peace. On the other hand, during his visit to Turkey, Prime Minister Sharif will participate in the fifth session of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum. There, he will meet with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and also exchange views with other world leaders.
