No dengue deaths in 24 hours, 271 hospitalized

No one died of dengue in the country in the last 24 hours. During this time, 271 new people were infected and hospitalized. This information was given in a press release regarding dengue sent by the Directorate General of Health Services on Sunday (July 5).
It said that among the dengue patients in the last 24 hours, 63 people were hospitalized in Barisal division, 30 in Chittagong division, 45 in Dhaka division (outside the City Corporation), 27 in Dhaka North City Corporation, 30 in Dhaka South City Corporation, 63 in Khulna division, seven in Mymensingh division, four in Rajshahi division and two in Sylhet division.
The Directorate General of Health Services said that a total of 6,871 people have been infected with dengue so far this year. Of these, 61.6 percent are men and 38.4 percent are women. The Directorate General of Health Services also said that a total of 19 people have died of dengue fever this year.
