New opening hours for shopping malls and shops

The Bangladesh Shop Owners Association has announced that shops, market stalls and shopping malls across the country will remain open from 7pm to 9pm from Thursday (June 11). The organization’s president, Md. Helal Uddin, said that the Minister of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources informed us a while ago that from today, markets, market stalls and shops will remain open from 11am to 9pm.
He congratulated the Prime Minister and the Energy Minister for this decision. Earlier, the Department of Electricity had decided to keep shops and shopping malls open until 10pm on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha. However, after Eid, shops, businesses and shopping malls were closed again at 7pm as usual.
