Kim Jong Un orders missile production to double in five years
North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has ordered the country’s missile production capacity to double in the next five years. The country’s state media reported this information on Sunday (June 7). It also published some photos of Kim’s visit to the weapons factory.
That day, Kim discussed weapons production with officials at the huge factory. Yonhap News Agency reported that some weapons, such as the main structure of the missile, were also seen there.
Meanwhile, Chinese President Xi Jinping is visiting North Korea a day later. Beijing said that Xi will discuss bilateral relations and issues of common interest with Kim. They also expressed their interest in further strengthening relations with Pyongyang.
