Bodies of two Bangladeshis killed in Israeli drone strike in Lebanon returned home
The bodies of two Bangladeshis killed in an Israeli drone strike in Lebanon have returned home. The deceased Shafiqul Islam and Nahidul Islam are from Asashuni Upazila of Satkhira. The freezer ambulance carrying the bodies left for Satkhira today (June 7). Their bodies will be buried after the burial. The plane carrying the bodies arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at around 2:30 am on Sunday. Relatives were present at the airport to receive the bodies at that time.
The bodies of the two expatriates were handed over to their relatives in the presence of State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shama Obaid. He said that Bangladesh has lost 10 expatriate citizens in the ongoing war situation in Lebanon. The bodies of seven of them have been brought back to the country. The State Minister for Foreign Affairs has handed over financial assistance to the families of the two deceased expatriates for burial.
