Businessman hacked to death in Faridpur

A businessman was hacked to death and robbed of 1 lakh 92 thousand taka in cash in Korkari area of ​​Madhukhali upazila of Faridpur. The injured man’s family has filed a written complaint with Madhukhali police station accusing two people in this incident. On Friday (July 3) afternoon, injured businessman Roni Sheikh’s father Khalek Sheikh filed the complaint with Madhukhali police station as the plaintiff.
According to the complaint source, Roni Sheikh (30), a resident of Korkari village in the upazila, used to sell bKash, Nagad, Flexiload and cosmetics in the local Korkari market. Last Thursday (July 2) at around 10:15 pm, he closed the shop and left for home. On the way, at around 10:30 pm, some miscreants blocked his path when he reached the government paved road between Bejhal Mandal and Gosai Chandra Sarkar’s house in Korkari area.
The complaint states that the accused first demanded the money that was with Roni. When he refused to pay, they hit him on the right and left hands with the sharp knives they had with them and beat him up indiscriminately, intending to kill him. The businessman was seriously injured. At one point, when Roni Sheikh fell to the ground, the miscreants snatched away 1 lakh 92 thousand taka of cash from his business.
In the complaint, Akash Biswas (25), a resident of Korkari Majhipara, father- deceased Nipendra Biswas, Jihad Sheikh (27), a resident of Korkari Babupara, father- Akkach Sheikh and two other unidentified persons have been named as accused. In this regard, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Madhukhali Police Station Sukhdev Roy said that he has received a written complaint in this incident. The complaint will be investigated and necessary legal action will be taken.
