Home Minister calls on government officials and employees to discharge their duties impartially

Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed has called on government officials and employees to discharge their duties impartially, without political bias, with patriotism, honesty and professionalism. He said this at the inauguration of a workshop organized on the occasion of National Public Administration Day at Shahbagh in the capital today, Sunday (July 19).
The Home Minister said that public administration must come out of the 17-year trend of administrative politicization and turn it into a real service to the people. Besides, he also emphasized on ensuring transparency and accountability at all levels of administration.
He further said that the main responsibility of government officials is to play an effective role for the welfare of the people. In addition, he also emphasized on reforming the statistical system for formulating correct policies, giving priority to the agriculture and remittance sectors and expanding technical education to create a skilled manpower.
