BSF takes back 9 people after push-in fails, push-in attempt in Meherpur too
The Indian Border Security Force (BSF) has continued its push-in efforts at the border. However, due to the strict stance of the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) is also being forced to bring back those pushed to the zero line. The BSF has also taken back 9 people pushed from the zero line of the Sapahar border in Naogaon. After about 20 hours, they were taken to India on Wednesday night (June 24). At this time, the BSF had turned off the lights.
The BGB said that the BSF had tried to push out 9 people, including women and children, through the Adatola border in Sapahar early Wednesday morning. On receiving the information, the BGB took a strict stance in the border area. As a result, the BSF’s push-in attempt failed.
Meanwhile, on Thursday (June 25) morning, the BSF tried to push 7 people into Bangladesh territory through the Sheortala border in Meherpur Gangni upazila. After learning about the matter, the BGB went to the spot and strongly protested. At that time, local residents also stood by the BGB. Finally, the BSF took the 7 people, including women and children, back to India through the zero line of the border. The BGB has increased surveillance at various borders in the district to prevent forced infiltration.
