3 killed in separate road accidents in Faridpur

Three people, including a woman, were killed in three separate road accidents in Faridpur Sadar and Madhukhali upazilas. On Monday (August 3), three people, including a motorcycle rider, fell on the road after being hit by an auto-rickshaw at Kanaipur in Faridpur Sadar on the Dhaka-Khulna highway. At that time, one person was killed when he was hit by a speeding bus. Two other riders were injured. The injured have been rescued and sent to Faridpur Medical College Hospital. The deceased has been named Suad. He is the son of Md. Mizanur Rahman of Hat Gobindpur in the same upazila.
Earlier, an old man named Anwar Hossain (60) was seriously injured after being hit by a battery-powered auto-rickshaw in front of the main gate of Faridpur Medical College in Faridpur city. He was rescued and admitted to Faridpur Medical College Hospital. He died by noon. He is the son of late Jabbar Mia of Chanda village of Kamargram Dakghar in Alfadanga upazila of Faridpur district.
Meanwhile, an elderly woman named Md. Amena Begum (70) was killed in a road accident in Majhkandi area of ​​Madhukhali upazila of Faridpur on Dhaka-Khulna highway yesterday afternoon. She is the wife of deceased Elahi Sheikh of Majhkandi village of the same upazila. Amena Begum fell on the road after being hit by a motorcycle while crossing the road and died on the spot. Karimpur Highway Police Station OC Md. Zahir Hossain said that after receiving the news of the accident, the police reached the spot and prepared the autopsy report of the body. The body has been handed over to the family.
