Ansar VDP official killed in road accident in Mirsarai

A Upazila Ansar and Village Defence Force (VDP) official named Alauddin was killed in a head-on collision between a motorcycle and an auto-rickshaw in Mirsarai, Chittagong. The incident took place on Abu Torab Road around 12 noon on Sunday while he was on his way to inspect government work in the Mirsarai National Special Economic Zone. The deceased Alauddin (38) is the son of Abul Kashem of Kashem Mia family in Ramgati Upazila.
According to local sources, a motorcycle and an auto-rickshaw collided head-on in Abu Torab area of ​​Economic Zone Road on the way to inspect government work in the Mirsarai National Special Economic Zone this afternoon. At that time, locals rescued him in a serious condition and took him to the Sheba Adhunik Hospital in Mirsarai Sadar. Later, when he was taken to the Upazila Health Complex from there, the doctors of the emergency department declared him dead.
Shuvro Das, a doctor on duty at the emergency department of the Upazila Health Complex, said, “An Ansar official injured in the road accident was brought to the hospital, but he died before reaching the hospital.” Mirsarai Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Alauddin Quader said that Ansar officer Alauddin was seriously injured in a collision with an auto-rickshaw on his way to the special economic zone on Sunday morning. After being taken to the hospital, doctors declared him dead. Family members are coming to the hospital. Further necessary measures will be taken. Mirsarai Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Farida Yasmin said, “The accident-affected vehicle has been recovered. The body of the deceased is now at the hospital. Legal action will be taken in this regard.”
