Thief gets stuck in grill while escaping, video goes viral

While escaping from a house in Dinchala Comilla, a thief named Marjan Hossain Jihad (22) got stuck in the iron grill of the balcony. Later, the police rescued him from the scene. On Monday (May 11) night, a video of him getting stuck in the window grill went viral on social media. Earlier, this incident took place on the ground floor of a building in the Islampur area of ​​​​Comilla city (east of the court) last Sunday afternoon. Later, a mobile court sentenced him to 20 days in prison.
The arrested Md. Marjan Hossain Jihad is the son of Abdul Barek of the city’s Chhotora area. The owner of the building is Mohammad Ali of Islampur area. A tenant family lived on the ground floor of the building. Jihad was caught stealing there.
Police said that on Sunday afternoon, Jihad tried to enter the house by cutting the grill of the ground floor balcony of a building in the Islampur area of ​​​​the city with the intention of stealing. Later, while coming out, his body got stuck in the grill. The incident created a sensation in the area and people gathered. After receiving the news, the police arrested him after a long effort and brought him to the police station. Later, a mobile court sentenced him to 20 days in prison. Kotwali Police Station OC Touhidul Anwar said, “After receiving the news, we rescued the thief and handed him over to the executive magistrate. At that time, the mobile court sentenced the thief to 20 days in prison and sent him to jail.”
