US has no choice but to accept Iran’s proposal: Ghalibaf

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said the US has no choice but to accept Tehran’s 14-point proposal to resolve the conflict with the US. “The US has no viable alternative to accepting Iran’s 14-point proposal to resolve the ongoing conflict,” Ghalibaf said in a post on social media.
“There is no alternative but to accept the rights of the Iranian people as outlined in the 14-point proposal,” he said. “Any other approach will be completely futile; nothing more than one failure after another. The longer they delay, the more American taxpayers will pay for it.” Ghalibaf’s latest message underscores Tehran’s strategy: to show determination, appeal to Washington’s economic interests, and present resistance as a defense of national rights.
The statement comes amid heightened tensions between Iran, the United States and Israel, which have been at loggerheads since February 28. Iran has sent a response to a US proposal to end the war through Pakistan’s mediation. However, US President Donald Trump rejected Iran’s response. “I just read the response that the so-called representatives of Iran sent. I don’t like it – it’s completely unacceptable,” he said.
