Hero Alam’s Appeal
Content creator Hero Alam had collected nomination papers from Bogra-4 constituency. However, he could not submit them within the stipulated time. So, he returned to Dhaka today, Thursday (January 1) and filed an appeal. Confirming the information, Hero Alam said, ‘I went to the Election Commission office in Agargaon today, Thursday (January 1) and filed an appeal.’
As a candidate of the Aam Janata Party, Hero Alam wrote to the Election Commission, ‘I, Ashraful Hossain Alam, went to submit my nomination form to the Bogra Assistant Returning Officer on December 29 to contest from Bogra-4 constituency as a candidate of the Aam Janata Party in the upcoming 13th National Parliament election.
At that time, due to a huge crowd there, 2 minutes passed after 5 pm. The Assistant Returning Officer refused to accept my nomination form as the deadline had passed. I apologize for my unintentional mistake. I have contested the National Parliament election 4 times before. In that regard, in the interest of justice, it is appropriate to order the receipt of my nomination form. Hero Alam believes that he will find time to submit his nomination paper and also contest the upcoming National Assembly elections.
