Samira not guilty: Don

The mystery of the death of immortal hero of Bengali cinema Salman Shah has come under renewed discussion again. The court has ordered an investigation into the murder case in his death.
The fourth accused in the case is villain actor Ashraful Haque Don. The main accused in the case is Salman Shah’s ex-wife Samira Haque. The other accused are – producer Aziz Mohammad Bhai, Latifa Haque Lucy, David, Javed, Farooq, Ruby of Mafia Beauty Center, Abdus Sattar, Saju and Rezvi Ahmed Farhad.
Almost five years ago, the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) concluded the investigation and said that it was not murder, but suicide. At that time, Don expressed relief and said, ‘Whatever Allah does, He does for good. Finally, I am freed from the false accusation of killing my friend.’
Later, Don appeared as a guest on Shahriar Nazim Joy’s popular talk show ‘Sense of Humour’. Amid the ongoing controversy over Salman Shah’s death, that old interview has gone viral again. In the interview, Joy directly asked, “Who could be the reason for Salman Bhai’s suicide – his mother or his wife?”
Don initially dismissed it as a family matter, but later said that he did not see any fault in Salman’s wife Samira Haque. In his words, “I have never seen love like Samira’s with Salman in my life.”
When Joy was asked again, “Was there anything wrong with Samira?” – Don replied, “I did not see anything wrong.” Don also said that Salman Shah was extremely mentally unstable towards the end of his life.
In his words, “Why did Salman Shah commit suicide despite being a superstar, having so much money, cars and houses? For six-seven months, I never saw him sit quietly – not even in a state of silence or being able to speak.”
