Scarlett Johansson is the highest-grossing star at the box office worldwide

According to a report by US magazine Forbes, when calculating the total income of all the films Johansson has starred in, she is now the highest-grossing actor in Hollywood (not only women, but also men), where she has surpassed Marvel co-stars Robert Downey Jr., Samuel L. Jackson and Zoe Saldana. Her films have grossed $14.8 billion worldwide, and she has achieved this record with just 36 films compared to Samuel L. Jackson’s 71! Basically, her role as Black Widow in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and the recent successful Jurassic World franchise have brought her to this top spot.

These records are usually achieved by being a member of an ensemble cast (a multi-starrer project), and all seven of the top 10 are somehow associated with Marvel projects.
