Worker dies in wild elephant attack in Jamalpur

A worker named Joynal Abedin died in a wild elephant attack in Bakshiganj, Jamalpur. His body was recovered from the Bagichatila area of ​​Dumurtala Bit in the upazila on Saturday (June 27) afternoon. Locals said that Joynal Abedin had gone to collect wood in the reserved forest land of Dumurtala Bit on Friday. He had been missing since he went to the Bagan area of ​​the wildlife corridor.
Later, when his relatives informed the forest department yesterday morning, four members of the Emergency Response Team (ERT) searched and recovered his body. A range officer of the forest department said that initially it is believed that he died in a wild elephant attack. He also said that the body has been recovered and handed over to the family.
