Two brothers die after losing control of motorcycle and crashing into tree
Two brothers were killed when a speeding motorcycle lost control and crashed into a tree in Senbagh, Noakhali. The other rider of the motorcycle was seriously injured in the incident.
The accident occurred at around 8 pm yesterday (June 13) at Munshi’s shop in Kesharpar area on the Kankirhat-Chatarpaiya-Sonaimuri road in Senbagh upazila. The deceased were Asif and Arif, sons of CNG-powered autorickshaw driver Md. Alam of Muslim Swarnakar Bari of Damurua village in the upazila. The injured Shaon is the son of CNG-powered autorickshaw driver Md. Shahjahan of the same house.
According to local and police sources, a speeding motorcycle with three riders was heading towards Chatarpaiya from Kankirhat on Saturday night. When it reached Munshi’s shop area on the way, the driver lost control and the motorcycle hit a tree on the side of the road. All three were seriously injured. Locals rescued them and took them to a private hospital (clinic) in Chatarpaiya Bazar, where doctors declared Asif and Arif dead.
Meanwhile, injured Shaon has been admitted to Noakhali General Hospital as his condition is critical. Senbagh Police Station OC Abdur Rahim Sarkar confirmed the accident. He said that police were immediately sent to the spot after receiving the news that the two brothers were killed. More detailed information is being collected in this regard.
