Textile mill supervisor hacked to death in Narsingdi
A textile mill supervisor named Md. Mujibur Rahman (55) was killed in an attack by miscreants in Narsingdi. The murder took place on Monday (April 20) night at the bridge number 5 area of the Narsingdi-Madhavadi regional road. The deceased Mujibur Rahman is a resident of Birampur area of Nuralapur union of Madhavadi police station. He was working as a supervisor at a textile mill in Kalibari of Madhavadi municipal area.
According to the relatives of the deceased and the police, Mujibur often came to Narsingdi town for personal work. He left home yesterday afternoon for dinner. Then in the evening, after finishing work in Narsingdi, he was returning to Madhavadi. When he reached bridge number 5 on the way, a group of miscreants systematically attacked him. They hacked him to death, seriously injured him, snatched his mobile phone and gold ring and dumped him on the side of the road before fleeing.
Later, while passing through that road, a CNG autorickshaw driver named Hanif rescued him with the help of locals and took him to Narsingdi Sadar Hospital. There, the doctor declared him dead. Dr. Imran, a doctor in the emergency department of Narsingdi Sadar Hospital, said that he died of excessive bleeding before being brought to the hospital. The deceased had multiple injuries from sharp weapons on his body.
Narsingdi Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) ARM Al-Mamun said that a CNG driver brought Mujibur to the hospital at night and dropped him off. The police are trying to find the driver; if he is found, it will be easier to unravel the real mystery of the incident. Necessary legal action is being taken in this regard.
