Ramisa rape and murder case main accused confesses
Accused Sohel Rana, who was arrested in the rape and murder case of seven-year-old Ramisa Akhter in Pallabi, Mirpur, has given a confessional statement. After giving his statement, he has been ordered to be sent to jail. Today, Wednesday (May 20), within just 7 hours of Ramisa’s murder, Pallabi police arrested main accused Sohel Rana and his accomplice Swapna Akhter.
Police said that Swapna Akhter was first arrested in a drive with the help of information technology and then the main accused Sohel Rana was arrested from Fatulla area of Narayanganj. According to police sources, earlier on Tuesday (May 19) at around 9 am, Ramisa, a second-grade student, was slit to death in Pallabi.
