Protest by supporters of BNP leader who did not get nomination in Chandpur

A section of party leaders and activists have protested against not declaring Faridganj Upazila BNP convener MA Hannan as the party candidate in Chandpur-4 constituency. They have been holding this protest program by setting fire to the Chandpur-Lakshmipur road since Tuesday (November 4) morning. The protest program stopped traffic on the road. Long traffic jams were created. As a result, transport drivers and passengers suffered.
The leaders and activists participating in the protest said that Faridganj Upazila BNP convener MA Hannan was by the side of BNP leaders and activists during difficult times. He led the movement and struggle from the front. MA Hannan is a worthy candidate of BNP and the general public in Faridganj Upazila, that is, Chandpur-4 constituency. At that time, they demanded that the name of Lion Harunur Rashid, the candidate announced by the party, be withdrawn and MA Hannan be declared the party candidate. Incidentally, BNP has nominated Harunur Rashid, the central committee’s banking and revenue affairs secretary, for the Chandpur-4 constituency.
