Preparation meeting held to ensure success of 41st International Shahadat-e-Karbala Mahfil

CHITTAGONG, June 11: A preparatory meeting was held yesterday to ensure the success of the 41st International Shahadat-e-Karbala Mahfil, commemorating Ahle-Bait-e-Rasul (s), which will run for ten days. The Mahfil will be held from Wednesday, June 17, at the Jamiyatul Falah Mosque Plaza. The meeting, moderated by Professor Kamal Uddin, featured detailed discussions on overall preparations, management, security, guest hospitality, and the smooth execution of all activities.


The principal speaker at the meeting was Mohammad Ali Hossain Shohag, Chief Coordinator of the Mahfil Management Committee and Director finance of PHP Family. In his address, he said, “Ahle-Bait-e-Rasul (S) has been playing a vital role for 41 years through this Mahfil to propagate the noble ideals of Islam and establish moral values in society. We are optimistic that this event will be successful thanks to everyone’s collective efforts.” He urged the Muslim Ummah to attend the ten-day Mahfil with their families and benefit from the teachings of the Quran and Hadith as well as the guidance of Islamic scholars.


The speakers also offered special prayers for the recovery of Alhaj Sufi Mohammad Mizanur Rahman, esteemed chairman of the Mahfil and Ekushey Padak-winning industrialist and philanthropist, who is currently unwell. All present prayed for his swift recovery, good health, and long life. The speakers noted that his leadership and contributions have greatly enriched the Mahfil’s activities.
Leaders and organizers present sought the cooperation and spontaneous participation of Muslims from all walks of life. They expressed hope that the Mahfil would play a positive role in acquiring religious knowledge, fostering social harmony, and building a morally upright society. Organizers extended a heartfelt invitation to all devout Muslims to attend the ten-day Mahfil and help make the event a success.
