‘PHP Family’s’ great initiative for Hajj pilgrims

After passing through Chittagong Office Immigration, Hajj pilgrims have to wait for a long time for the plane. It often takes two to three hours. A lot of time is spent leaving home and reaching the airport, security checking, pulling luggage and collecting boarding passes. Then there is immigration. Elderly Hajj pilgrims feel tired from this long wait.
Last Sunday afternoon, a snack packet was handed over to each of the passengers waiting in the airport lounge of the first Hajj flight. There is a tea and coffee machine installed next to it. You can eat whenever you want. This humanitarian initiative has been going on at Chattogram Shah Amanat International Airport for almost ten years.
This humanitarian initiative was launched by ‘PHP Family’, an industrial organization founded by one of the country’s prominent industrialists, Mohammad Mizanur Rahman. This snack packet was provided to 390 Hajj pilgrims. This service will be provided to 6,900 pilgrims who will be going for Hajj through Chittagong Airport.
PHP Family Vice Chairman Mohammad Mohsin was present at the official launch of this initiative at the airport. He said, “On the instructions of Abba, we have been providing light assistance to the pilgrims for the past ten years to ease their hardships.”
