No plans to increase fuel prices in the country: Finance Advisor
Despite the increase in fuel prices in the world market due to the war situation, the country is still not planning to increase prices, said Finance Advisor Dr. Salehuddin Ahmed.
He said this while talking to reporters after the meeting of the Advisory Council Committee on Government Procurement at the Secretariat on Tuesday (June 17).
The advisor said that the war situation is being monitored. If the situation lasts for a long time, there is a possibility that it will affect the prices of various imported goods, including fertilizer and fuel. Because imported goods come through the Strait of Hormuz.
Despite the increase in fuel prices in the world market, the advisor said that there is still a plan to increase prices in the country. He said that work orders have been given to import LNG and fertilizer at the current price.
