NCP will not field a candidate against Khaleda Zia

The Jatiya Nagorik Party (NCP) will not field a candidate against BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia. The party’s chief coordinator Nasiruddin Patwari confirmed this information.
On Monday (November 3), BNP announced its primary candidates for 237 seats ahead of the 13th National Parliament elections. According to that list, Khaleda Zia will contest from Feni-1, Dinajpur-3 and Bogra-7 seats.
The NCP gave this information a day after BNP announced its candidate list. Meanwhile, NCP joint convener Sarwar Tushar said today that the NCP will field candidates for 300 seats in the upcoming National Parliament elections. The names of about 100 people will be announced this week.
