Mysterious death of housewife in Siddhirganj, husband absconding
A housewife named Tania Akhtar (22) has died mysteriously in Siddhirganj, Narayanganj. The incident took place in the Madbar Bazar area of Jalkuri Paschimpara in Siddhirganj. The police recovered her body yesterday (July 26) afternoon. Her husband Sohag alias Julhas (27) has been absconding since the incident.
Police and witnesses said that Tania’s husband Sohag alias Julhas (27) gave the house key to her maternal uncle and sister-in-law Nasima and said, “Your sister went to the cloth shop at 7 am.” Saying this, he left from there. At 11:30 am, Tania opened the door of the house and saw her maternal uncle lying dead. Then Nasima screamed. When people around her screamed, the police were informed. The police reached the spot and recovered the body.
The deceased Tania Akhter is the daughter of Shah Alam of Purba Sheta area of Rangabali upazila of Patuakhali. SI Atiqur Rahman of Siddhirganj Police Station reached the spot, recovered the body and sent it to the morgue of Khanpur Hospital in Narayanganj for autopsy. Siddhirganj Police Station OC Mohammad Emdadul Haque said, Tania’s body has been recovered and sent to the morgue. We are investigating. Efforts are underway to arrest her husband.
