Most of the previous parties have indulged in rigging: Sarjis

National Citizens Party (NCP) northern chief organizer Sarjis Alam said that most of the previous political parties have indulged in rigging again. He made these comments at the union’s NCP committee announcement ceremony at the Kamatkajaldighi Union Parishad premises in Panchagarh Sadar Upazila on Wednesday (November 5) afternoon.
Sarjis said, “The previous system has started to be revived. Some have started to create a worse situation whenever they get the opportunity. Extortion, rigging, looting, encroachment, abuse of power have started repeating the same things again.”
He further said, “We did not form any political party for 6 months from August to February. But when I saw that if we do not take responsibility for politics anew, Bangladesh will again fall into the hands of the black vulture. Our responsibility does not end even after the coup. We also have to fulfill this responsibility of those who gave their lives and blood until the last day of their lives. We have to continue the fight against these miscreants, no matter which party they belong to.” At that time, NCP and National Youth Force leaders and activists, including Panchagarh Sadar Upazila NCP Chief Coordinator Nayan Tanbirul Bari, were present.
