Local Government Minister: Prime Minister is running the government with Bangladesh’s development plan

Local Government and Rural Development Minister Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said that Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is running the government with Bangladesh’s development plan. Rural development is one of the agendas of the current government. He said these things at a meeting organized at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium on Monday (July 6) on the occasion of National Rural Development Day.
The Local Government Minister said that the previous fascist government did half the work in the name of development and put the rest in their pockets. They have done a lot of damage to us, destroyed our faith and trust. We are trying to build them again. He also said that if we want our own change, then we have to do it on our own initiative. No one from neighboring countries or the United States will come and do anything.
The Local Government Minister said that discussions are underway to re-launch the village government. He said that if the village government is launched, leadership will start from the village. At the same time, he said that corruption must be said ‘no’. We do not want to see people violating human rights. If I am right myself, I can make others right too.
