Law Minister orders DMP Commissioner to submit investigation report in Pallabi 7-year-old child murder case within a week
Law Minister Md. Asaduzzaman has directed the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner to submit an investigation report within a week into the rape and brutal murder of child Ramisa in Pallabi in the capital. He gave this order on Thursday (May 21) morning. The Law Minister said that appropriate measures will be taken to complete the trial of this murder as soon as possible.
Earlier, on Tuesday (May 19), police recovered the body of child Ramisa with her throat slit from a house in Pallabi. In this incident, Sohel Rana, a tenant of the adjacent flat, was charged with murder. Later, the same evening, police arrested him from Fatulla area of Narayanganj. After his arrest, Sohel Rana gave a confessional statement in the court. His wife Swapna Akhter was also arrested at the same time.
