Jamalpur: Youth sentenced to 7 days in prison for illegally storing diesel

A mobile court in Dewanganj, Jamalpur has sentenced a youth named Md. Sabbir (21) to 7 days in prison for illegally storing diesel. Dewanganj Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Shah Zahurul Hossain conducted the drive in the Kathar Bill Filling Station area of ​​the upazila on Wednesday (April 15) afternoon.
According to the mobile court sources, Sabbir was collecting about 120 liters of diesel without permission and taking it for storage. Based on secret information, the upazila administration immediately conducted a drive and arrested him. At that time, the mobile court sentenced him to 7 days in prison.
In this context, Dewanganj Upazila Executive Officer Shah Zahurul Hossain said that Sabbir has been sentenced to 7 days in prison for illegally storing diesel. Such drives will continue to prevent the tendency to create artificial crisis in the market by illegally storing fuel oil and selling it at an excessive price.
